Logan Christian

Logan Christian has a background in education and policy with a focus on wildlife conservation. He received his B.S. in Environmental Studies from Utah State University and his M.S. from the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability. He is interested in the human dimensions of conservation, and his master’s research focused on rural communities in the West that are integrating environmental stewardship into their long term community and economic development activities. While in graduate school, he was selected as a Wyss Conservation Fellow.

Before starting at NCEL, Logan worked as the Outreach and Development Director for Yellowstone to Uintas Connection, a nonprofit focused on enhancing habitat connectivity south of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. More recently, he worked as a Conservation Advocate for Mountain Lion Foundation where he educated the public about carnivore coexistence/conservation issues across six western states.

Hailing from Utah and the Intermountain West, Logan loves spending his free time hiking, fly fishing and kayaking. He also enjoys reading fantasy series and walking his dog Zuko.
