|Vermont State Representative David Zuckerman has introduced a bill dealing with genetically-engineered seeds and plants. The bill, H.247, places a moratorium on the planting of genetically-engineered seeds or plant parts and a creates registration process for their sale or distribution. The legislation also creates a commission on the use in Vermont of genetically-engineered seeds or plant parts and requires food products containing ingredients from genetically-engineered plants to have that information on the label.
