2016 Great Lakes Forum
Thirty-five Great Lakes legislators will gather to discuss emerging environmental threats to the region.
NCEL’s Great Lakes Forum will convene 35 state lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to learn about pressing environmental issues across the region and to collaborate on opportunities for policy solutions The two-day forum will primarily focus on water-related issues, such as nutrient pollution, invasive species, and lead contamination. Each session will highlight diverse stakeholder voices and will explore bipartisan solutions to environmental threats.
Where: The Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert St NW, Washington, D.C.
When: 12pm Saturday, December 3rd to 12pm Sunday, December 4th. The forum will directly precede the National Conference of State Legislatures’ Capitol Forum.
Cost: Registration for the forum will cost $49 per attendee to reserve a space. NCEL will cover the cost of meals and hotel, and there will be a limited number of travel scholarships available.
